Saved addresses missing?

The saved addresses that appear under the address field and the general places under the search field have vanished. HUH? I did a lot of cache cleaning but that is about all. Also, no site remembers my login data after I quit Safari but have not shut down. The same thing happened in the mail app. Any ideas? OS 10.3.5 and a .Mac account.

I think the command is "restore Safari." If you did that you cleared your cache, browsing history, download history, passwords, auto-fill information, and cookies. They're gone.

Always know what the consequences of your actions will be and always have a backup of your data.
