I am looking into to getting a scanner for mostly scanning photos and images out of books, etc. Text scanning for document conversion would also be a plus.
I've been looking at a lot, and I think I've narrowed it down to two (although suggestions are encouraged!): the Epson 3170 and the Canon 8000F. I am not looking at HP simply because I don't like the company. I've had a lot of their items break weeks out of warranty and I just don't want to buy from them anymore.
Any thoughts between the Epson and Canon?
