Loaded OS 3.1.3 and still podcasts out of order

Anyone else have this problem? I am sure most know that to get podcasts in some order to play right on the iPod you currently have to use the smart playlist trick; but we should be able to sort by name and the podcasts show up like that on the iPod.

I want to keep my iPod touch, but this podcast business is insane. Seems this should have been corrected on the latest OS.
Thoughts? Am I doing something wrong and it isn't the OS?

Jesus christ! How is this issue not fixed yet? Is it too much to ask that my podcasts appear in order on my iPhone? I upgraded to iTunes 9.0.3.15 today, thinking surely they fixed that obnoxious issue - NOPE.

I'm on 3.1.2 still, as 3.1.3 only claims to improve battery performance.

3.1.3/jailbreak is irrelevant as it provides no fix for the podcast sorting order, as original post states - he updated to both the latest iPhone firmware and iTunes software.
