Watch this. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/#35206587)

The right wingers on this board only need to watch the last few minutes.

This idiot from the Family Research council actually says we should not only outlaw gays outright from the military all together but outlaw sodomy and other "gay behavior" outright.

What a disgusting bigot. A disgusting human being imho.

This man is so deep in the closet he's finding Christmas presents.

58% of right wingers don't have a problem with it according to the video.

Can we leave the culture wars nonsense aside? Dividing people into factions only plays into such ridiculousness.

QFT, culture wars are what we criticised Limbaugh for doing.

No. You know who he's talking about, and so do they. Calling people out is absolutely necessary. This jackass on Chris Matthews just admitted what a bigot he is. I want more people to admit it. I want to know who my enemies are. Because all I ever hear form that side is "no one cares if you're gay, we just wanna protect marriage!" Well, it BS. A lot of people are just like this jerk. I want to know who they are.

It is probably fair to say that all right-wingers who oppose gay-marriage are bigots. However some right-wingers do support gay marriage and they shouldn't be tarnished with the same brush.

Correct, but that's their PR problem, not ours. That's up to them to fix.

I wasn't trying to bring the whole "right" into the discussion, but the far right wingers on this board (InTheNet, stubeef and all the new guys).

Sure there are probably lots of Republicans out there that are extremely reasonable (like Badandy is) but either 1) They're waaaay too silent in comparsion to the screamers on the far right or 2) They are actually few in number.

This man is disgusting and if anyone wants to associate themselves with the Family Research Council (I'm sure some posters on here love this group) they need to demand this man be fired immediately.

The Family Research Council needs to be renamed the Family Propaganda Council. That guy got on that show and flat out told lies.

The FRC are anti-Libertarians whose mission is to control people's personal lives.

Family Research Council believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed.

I don't want to advertise their Website, but it's the first sentence about their view of homosexuality. And it gets worse.

If they want to create laws banning social acts like this then I can't see how this wouldn't be true. As far as I am concerned whatever people do in their house is their own damn business as long as its not harming others. Government needs to gtfo.

I'm not saying all Republicans are racist, sexist homophobes, just the people they elect into office to represent them.

The won't say anything because they agree with him. They're too scared to say anything though. They're a bunch of cowards.

Funny how 23 years ago, it was people like me who received death threats and such for speaking out, but we had the courage of our convictions anyway. They can't even stand being called a little word like "bigot". I guess because it's the truth.

Not even the majority of Republicans agree with him. If the military leaders want this repealed the Republican congressmen will look like retards if they try to block it.

Of course the military leaders want it gone. They're losing key people they really need.

I dont know I thought it was refreshing to see someone making such a bluntly honest ass of themselves.

I get really tired of people acting like their discrimination against gays, women, mexicans etc. is somehow NOT discrimination. At least this guy is honest about the fact that he is a total dou***.

I know he won't he's simply too old. That said, he's still one of the slimiest politicians I can think of (other than Lieberman). I don't really buy his nice guy act and it seems far from genuine.

That said, I do agree with him on several issues, but apart from that I can't stand the man.

My favorite part from McCain on this issue is that there is a quote where he says something to the effect of "If the military leadership says it's time to repeal DADT then we need to take a serious look at repealing it." Well, guess what Johnny boy, they said it! And did McCain change his tune? Nope.

The conundrum facing all of these Republican leaders is simple: coming out against the repeal of the DADT policy now would represent a de facto admission that the opinions of the military brass never really mattered in the first place.

But that doesn't mean they'll suddenly support the repeal. In fact, in a widely observed reversal yesterday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said that he was "disappointed" in Mullen's testimony, and expressed concerns that overturning DADT at a time of "immense hardship for our armed services" would be problematic.

This despite the fact that he once declared that: "the day that the leadership of the military comes to me and says, 'Senator, we ought to change the policy,' then I think we ought to consider seriously changing it."
