Could you somehow put the 8-hour battery of recent macbook models, into the macbook book late 2008 model?

No, there is no space for it.
That's why the new, non-user replaceable batteries have such a high capacity, because the are bigger, because the MB lacks the mechanism of the door and the one that holds the battery into place.
