Need application to check cores usage in i7

I was looking for an application that would allow me to keep an eye on the cores usage of my i7.

I have seen a couple of screenshots of this application which had icons in the right side of the upper menubar of the desktop.
Anyone knows what i am talking about?

you can check the core usage using Activity Monitor in your Utilities folder. iStat Menus (http://islayer.com/apps/istatmenus/) allows you to monitor your core usage in the menu bar.
