Ok, so I havent found a thread similar to this one, in the way that Im talking about both the imac and the MBP. There is a lot of rumor obviously about the MBP updates, and I have seen some threads on here about whether any of the imacs are worth it other than the i7 because they still use Core 2 Duo Processors.
So my prediction: I think that Apple will unleash hardware updates that will give the MBPs icore and will also give the lower 3 variations of imacs i core. Why do I think this? Because I dont see apple giving the MBPs new processors while their desktops still have Core 2. Yet I dont see them reworking their entire Mac lineup out of nowhere. I think it will happen at WWDC
