I have an old PPC dual 2.0 and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what it ment when your comp. says "you need to restart your computer" whenever you do a system update? Thats when it usually did it but this time it was just on a restart. (also flickered the monitor and froze anything i was doing) I was thinking Hard drive issue? Any input?

It's called a Kernel Panic, and if it happens regularly, you have a problem.

Do you know a fix? I just got a mac pro so this is just going to be a secondary and I would gladly wipe the HD (everything I need is on the secondary and external)
