I just have sent the following to Apple:

Hello.

It just came to my attention via the MacRumors forum, that Lenovo is using the older, blue iMovie icon on their website.
I don't know if it is legal or not, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.

Have a good day and week.

I don't really know if that icon is open source, but we will see when the icon disappears.

No. Lenovo has a ripped off icon.

That is a bit odd, even for Lenovo.

I might be nit-picking now, but the HD icon at the bottom of the of the right column for the Q series computers looks a lot like the HD icon Apple puts on the Final Cut Studio boxes...

There might be a standard icon for HD that the TV/video industry uses, but I don't think this is it. It might just be easier to "borrow" good designs than to create new ones...

I hope you sent it to Apple legal. If not, you call in to report the matter They do have a department that deals with this sort of thing and you can remain anonymous if you wish.

They like to play little jokes on their clients. Not even Microsoft is immune. For months, one page on Microsoft's website clearly showed a PPC-based Mac running Windows.

I sent it via the Feedback form for iMovie, as I don't know of any Apple Legal department contact form.

Do you have the link?

If you can't e-mail you can call HQ, and they'll give you instructions.

I reported something similar last year, and I simply called Apple HQ in Cali, was directed to the proper dept. by the switchboard, spoke to a gentleman who advised me to send him an e-mail with relevant pics and details. I no longer have the e-mail addy, unfortunately, but here's the number:
