Ok, I have 2 problems with OSX 10.6. First, My audio wont work. The built in speakers just wont put out noise and when I try to change the volume on the keyboard I get this. http://www.kttns.org/zi3m2 Here is what my "Sound" in System Perf. Looks like. http://www.kttns.org/iymfk

Problem two. I can't unhid hidden files. I found out how to do it by terminal here, http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2008/04/show-hidden-files.html but then I change it to "FALSE" and it says invailed killall.

THANKS!

Problem 1: Have you plugged anything recently into the audio out port of the MacBook? If so, see if there is a red light on in the audio out port, which is the optical audio out.
Maybe you can solve that problem by plugging your headphones or amplifier back into the MB and out again.

Problem 2: The command should be working, it works for me.

I've had to do that on quite a few machines at work.
