It's ironic how for many years folks have critisized Apple for it's closed system and it's failure to license the Mac OS. The fact that Windows has to be compatible with some many different products seems to be haunting Microsoft as they continue development on Longhorn.

When you're on top of the heap, there's no place to go but down. :)
