101 songs within 1 album

I have several albums (covers) on my iTouch, that when you touch the album and it flips to show the songs within, I have numerous other songs attached on to one artists album. How did they get there, and how do you get rid of them without deleting the others? Any help would be appreciated. I hope I am making sense. For example: I have James Taylors greatest hits - but I have 101 songs within that album from different artists. 😱

Go into iTunes on your computer and change the information by right clicking on the songs in question and changing the album name.
