iPod touch Where are my podcasts?

Hi guys, I have a very simple question which may or may not be stupid so here goes. New to the iPod touch, so yesterday I was signing up for some podcasts on iTunes, check the setting so they would sync with it. Anyway I can see that the touch is synced and the podcast icon shows up under the Touch. When I disconnect, for the life of me I can't find the podcast anywhere...no new icon or anything. What am I doing wrong or what icon do I use or look for? Thanks.
