Cleaner bins rubbish bag artwork @ Tate Britain

hah, awesome. of course the artist will probably love that too, the way his work represents art's fragility 🙄 i'm sorry but i just cannot see the "art" in this. 🙂
 
Surely it would have saved everyone a lot of bother if the 'artist' concerned had just got the council to come 'round and take his rubbish away? I've got a pile of crap in my back yard that Tate Modern can have a look at if they fancy...
 
I think that it was hauled away as garbage is in many ways a more powerful and accurate statement than the original was. Better indicative of the nature of society.
 
Exactly! 😉 I've never understood "Art" from the Tate Modern, myself, but it has a lot of entertainment value, nonetheless.

I remember that pile of rocks that sat beside one of Monet's Waterlily paintings. It was just a big pile of rocks roped off by a tiny rope.

Construction Worker: "Hey, look everybody. I'm an artist!!"

It is not the first time such a mistake has been made. In 2001 a cleaner at a London's Eyestorm Gallery gallery cleared away an installation by artist Damien Hirst, having mistaken it for a pile of rubbish.

Mistake, or more sense than most of these "artists". 😉
