MWSF 2010 Demo: Canson's Papershow

Canson demonstrated PaperShow (http://www.shoppapershow.com/) which is a presentation tool that uses a paper/pen combination that controls your presentation and allows you to annotate in real time.

The product includes specially marked paper and a pen with a camera. You print out your presentation onto the special paper and annotate it in real time with the pen. The pen follows the microscopic dots that are on the paper to translate your markings onto the screen. Besides drawing lines, there are different colors, shapes and functions. The starter package is $199 which includes the pen, bluetooth adapter, paper and pad.

Macworld hosted a DEMO presentation showing off 6 of the "best of" products being shown at the expo.

This is actually a very cool idea, and works similar to a Livescribe Pulse Pen (but only transmits what you write to the computer via bluetooth.) However, if you go to their website, they say that the software is Windows only. Also, the software is on the Bluetooth key that you plug into the USB port. (Nothing to install.)

So, if anybody attended MacWorld Expo and saw this demo - did they say if this works on a Mac with native software, or only in Windows? (via Boot Camp or emulation software like Parallels or VMWare.)

With a laptop and a projector, this could substitute for a whiteboard.

I saw this as well. To bad the company is either Windows only or slow in updating their web site. Bad show ether way. :mad:

Why are they featuring Windows only software at a Mac convention? And, why is it on MacRumors if it only runs on Windows? Perhaps they need to change the name of this website?

Maybe they were at the MAC show because the launch was to coincide the show... The site was updated shortly asfter the official release.
