In Aperture 3 when you edit a photo and it creates a version the modified version becomes version 1 and the original becomes version 2. If you continue modifying the file the original image continues to go back becoming version 3, then 4, etc with newest modifications becoming version 1.

However, this is the exact OPPOSITE behavior as in Aperture 2 where when one modified an image the new version became version 2, then further modifications became 3, 4, etc. The Aperture 2 way makes much more sense personally.

Now my problem is that I imported my library into aperture 3 but the originals that were modified in Aperture 2 are the old way of numbering, and the new images are the new way. Thus, I don't think I can ever find the original image without looking at the badge just by the version number.

Am I missing something?
