IMIC line OUT to cassette player?

Hi there;
I'm time traveling to the recent past...

I want to clean up and edit an old audio cassette in Sound Studio, recorded from cassette to my ibook via Imic, and THEN, in a backwards move...line out to cassette again. (I'm creating an old look for a cassette set.) I have used IMIC in the past (although I don't have it here now) and am not sure how I do the reverse...to go line out (from the Ibook) to the input of the cassette and record from there?

i can't help you but i was hoping you could give me some quick feedback as to your thoughts on imic because i'm thinking of purchasing it but have seen mixed reviews. what i will use it for is vinyl/cassette to iTunes/CD and for recording guitar/bass into garageband. any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

I had an iMic and it was WONDERFUL. I used to transfer my vinyl and old cassettes and turn them into digital music files for my iPod. It took a lot of time, but well worth it!

Now to the poster's question. If I understand correctly, you want to convert from cassette to your computer, back to cassette after fixing the quality a bit? I used to do something similar before I had a CD burner and made mix tapes for friends with my "mp3" collection. I just used the audio-out on the iMic and a "Y" cable from radio shack. I plugged one end to the iMic, the other to the AUX port on the back of my stereo and just recorded the music to my tapes. Worked great too; well, until someone would IM me and you heard a little chime on the actual recording. When this happened, I just called the song a remix.
