It's a 467? Is that a Sawtooth? I thought the offerings were 400, 450 and 500...
Not nit-picking. Just trying to clear up my ignorance!

I want this. I need this mac. Please let me know if any other deals fall through; I won't change my mind and leave you hanging(unless there's an unmentioned hardware problem). I've been running on this dead-end yosemite B&W for far too long. Your computer would be a godsend.

I didn't realize there would be such a huge interest in the Mac so I am going to start a bid on eBay here in a few weeks, and no it doesnt come with the iPod. I will probably start the bid at $50 or less. If you guys are up for it we could do the bidding here.

...I see. I won't be one of the bidders, I don't think. I'd have bought it from you for your asking price, however.
If you're going to put it up on ebay, all I can say is good luck.... :( Sucks for me.

He is too low on his price by about 50%...
Its funny, when someone prices something too high, everyone complains.. yet when someone prices an item too low the masses want in on it. <<go figure>>

What I don't care for is how he can put a price up, and then decide that 6 responses over 1-1/2 weeks' time permits him to decide that there's too much response to sell at that price, and that he's going to ebay it instead. It seems rude to offer something for a set price, then decide he's going to auction it in a few weeks just because people responded.
He's not going to sell it for the asking price, and had noone responded, he wouldn't have sold it then, either. So the goal must not have been to actually sell it at all, because that's the one absolute impossibility.
I guess this must've just been a tester, rather than an actual intent-to-sell ad. I should've known.

geforce 3 alone worth $250? Where do you buy your graphics cards from: highestmarkupgraphicscardsontheplanet.com?

and I would be upset if I were in your shoes as well. the only thing gained here is that we learned this seller may waffle on his prices and in the future some of us will remember that.
usually if the price is too good to be true.... well you know the rest :)

it is so sad..I had cash ready for him as I was the first to post interst and not a question about it. With the lack of response and behavior, I would say its a questionable seller.

I responded within minutes and even 2 days ago got an email and now this. So much for that PC in the other room being replaced.

I made a real firm offer, too, which was just a shade below his asking price.
It's all up to him, though. I was 10 seconds from winning an eBay auction for a Super Nintendo the other day until the seller yanked the listing. I got jack! It happens...

Everyone...
Demand decides price. It's a fact of life. The fundamentals of economics don't make this guy a questionable seller. He chose his asking price too low, and demand is going to get it where it needs to be. That's how economies work.

Actually, seems more like a scammer to me... people need to understand that Macrumors peeps are educated. They no how to avoid the scammers out there. I wish they would stop trying. Just like that nut that posted the ipods for about 50% of what they should be. Did anyone get one? Nope. Did he promise to post pics? Yep. Did He? Nope. Just like here.

If "worth" is determined by what something can be sold for, then unfortunately that $250 figure is about right. The OEM GeForce3 is apparently the best card that the G4 Cube supports (as far as fit, interface, etc) and Cube owners pay this kind of ridiculous price for them. Doesn't really make sense to me, either.
