I am returning and exchanging my 27" i5 week 6 iMac to the local Apple store because there is a little yellow tinge on the right side of the screen and some backlight bleed. I would like to wipe my iMac so it is in factory condition and that everything is set to default. How do I do this? I need to do it quickly!

1. Boot from OS X DVD (hold C to do that)
2. Choose Disk Utility in one of menus.
3. Choose Erase and under security options select "zero data".
It will take about 2 hours for 1 TB hard drive.

Is there any faster option?
Faster: just move your stuff to trash and choose "Secure erase". Now, is it safer? I'm not sure.
