Hulu will work for a few minutes before I get the beach ball. Other flash videos will play for a few seconds, then stop and never finish. However Netflix in Safari and the Hulu application work fine. I'm up to date on my flash player and Safari.

Well, this is the main reason Steve Jobs wants to help kill Flash, it pulls on too many resources and crashes Safari. You could try and make sure you have the latest version of Flash by going to Adobe's website and download it. Someone else may have another suggestion.

Do you get the same effect in Firefox?

By up-to-date on Flash, do you mean 10.1 also?

Have you tried a different browser? Safari truly isn't that great...

I never have problems with flash really.

I just updated flash earlier today. I'm still having the same issues. I haven't gotten firefox yet. I'll download it and see what happens.

Edit: Firefox seems to work perfectly with all my videos. I guess I'll have to use it instead. I did like the top sites thing that safari does though.

I'm using both: Safari and Firefox.
And I don't have so many crashes (if any). I can't say that one is more reliable than the other.

BTW this thread should stay in the software section ...

I had a love hate relationship with top sites. It seemed that launching Safari took longer, and my browser always froze when trying to open new tabs. It's much faster with it turned off IMO.

Sorry, didn't know where to put it. I wasn't sure where the problem fell.
