Okay, so I'm about to place an order for the 27" iMac in the next week or so, and going through the configurations I came across this date difference (not sure if it's mentioned somewhere in the internet already):

I'm not sure why, but with a simple keyboard change (from wireless to wired with number pad), the shipping time has changed from 2 weeks to 5-7 days. It's also like that when you change the CPU, RAM, etc.
Does this mean a customised/configured iMac is newer and is "made to order" directly in the factory, while the stock iMacs that have passed the yellow/flickering screen inspection have a longer waiting list and the customised ones gets checked on the spot as they put it in the boxes?
