Have Macbook Pro laptop purchased Dec 09

Have partitioned the disk and then loaded the Win 7 Home Ultimate cd.
Computer goes to restart the screen goes white and then turns itself off.

If I hold options key it will bring up the Mac HD and the Windows CD disc.

I have updated all the software.

Thanks

Just to be sure, you did run the Boot Camp assistant correct? You can find it in the Utilities folder. Click on the desktop, click "Go" on the top menubar, then click "Utilities". The Boot Camp Assistant app is in there.

yes I did all that. Made the partition etc from bootcamp. But when you put the windows 7 disc in and it restarts a white screen comes on then it goes black and turns off

32-Bit Windows 7 or 64-Bit? You will probably need to create a customized boot disk for your Mac when you want to install the 64-Bit version of Windows 7.

Shouldn't be needed for the late 2009 model. 64 bit installed perfectly out of the box on my August 2009 MBP.
