The way I have my setup now is:
Mac File Server. Custom built hackintosh housing my itunes library and time machine.
Mac Book Pro: Main computer. I control my itunes library through this machine. The hackintosh just houses the hard drives for itunes.
I want to built a custom HTPC and run either XMBC or Plex. I may also do some internet surfing but for the most part its jsut going to play media. I want to build a PC that has HD video out (1080p) and also HQ audio out. I was thinking of either running linux or Windows. Does anyone have any experience sharing between windows, linux, OS X. If anyone has any suggestions with my setup please let me know. My main concern is if I run windows can XMBC find my itunes library. Thanks
