I have a 2006 MacPro (Model Identifier: MacPro1,1) with 2 Dual core 3Ghz processors known as the Woodcrest series from Intel. CPU number 5160.
I want to know if I can up grade to the 5400-series "Harpertown". Intel E5450. It has the same FSB and only a slightly higher TDP of 80W instead of my current 65W.
I currently use 667Mhz ram.
Any input would be great.
