I'm not sure if you guys have read this or not, but I found it interesting. The whole concept of the "iPad" originated as an April Fool's Joke. See the following post at Google Groups:

Note the date: 4/1/00. Not only has the rumored iPod always been a fake, but a two-year-old one at that.

Now it seems the "iPad" has evolved into more of a generic name us hopefuls use for Apple's rumored non-existant PDA. Well eye, there's one fake Apple PDA name you can cross off your hate list. :D

It may have been an April Fool's joke, but it certainly is a good idea! :D

The word was PURSE.... As in a leather or cloth pouch used to carry things, often used as a generic term for a ladies' handbag.:D ;) :p

I think you may have read it P****.... as in a semi-vulgar slang term for the female sexual apparatus.


iPad is more like a feline motto.:D :rolleyes: :cool:

it will never happen...i've seen threads like this come and go...and no matter what everyone thinks and hopes for, Apple will never give us a PDA ever again
