I've done a bit of searching and I can't come up with a definite answer.
I bought a Macbook off of a repair guy on Craigslist. The Macbook is mint, blah blah
It has the previous user's information installed and I'd like to restore it to factory settings.
It didn't come with the original startup disks and I bought a copy of Snow Leopard.
Here's my question, can I do a reinstall to factory settings from the Snow Leopard disks, and if not would I be able to find and use someone elses Tiger OS disk?
Thanks for any bit of help

Yep. Insert disc, hold Alt/Option, and reboot.

Leopard
Launch into the Snow Leopard DVD by holding down the Option key at startup. Then, go into Utilities in the menu bar and select Disk Utility. Find Macintosh HD in the sidebar and format it using the Format tab. THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA ON THE DISK.
Then, just head back into the Snow Leopard installer by quitting Disk Utility and install Snow Leopard.
