If so, how is it? Any bugs to report? General feel?

Thanks!

And this is in the Marketplace because... (edit: thread has been moved by moderator)

I don't think people are actually supposed to get Virtual PC7 until October, so we have a bit longer to wait to hear user reports.

Except all the online retailers are still only taking preorders for it. Plus, the articles I've read said that VPC 7 has been declared gold master and has been sent off for duplication. It won't be shipping to customers until October.

Virtual PC 7.0 to be released to manufacturing this week (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=626)

Sorry ChrisFromCanada, next time do your homework.

It's a lot faster than 6. I know that this isn't a very good measurement, but XP's System Properties reports 667 MHz on a G4 1.25 SP, vs 400 MHz with VPC 6. In general, it 'feels' faster too. Printing is much better, the printer driver is now installed as part of the Additions, and it just links through to the Mac driver. In other words, you no longer need to install a Windows driver for the printer.

So all in all, it's a good upgrade :)

So I take it you have VPC 7? If so, have you tried any games on it? How do they run? Do you have any settings disabled that would make it go faster? How much RAM do you have?

I haven't tried any games on it yet, I haven't had a chance. All the settings are on their defaults. I have 1.25 GB of memory (DDR333), with the default amount allocated to XP (which I think is 256 MB).
