Hi,

I have two computers' one with 512 memory and one with 64 memory. Can I take the memory out of the computer that have the 512 and put it into the computer that have 64 memory if the chip fit? The old computer has window 98 and the new computer has window Me.

I'm new with computer and need much help.

Without significantly more details there is no way to answer this! Also this is a primarily Mac oriented forum and you seem to be asking about x86 hardware running Windows. You need to find out: the speed and type of both memory sticks, the number of slots on the motherboard and the max RAM capacity of the motherboard at the very least.

Crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com/) has a handy memory selector that is the perfect tool to solve this problem. Simply open two browser windows/tabs on Crucial, and navigate the memory chooser for each computer. Compare the two memory types to see if they match. Match=Guaranteed Compatibility

Without further information and some guessing I would say no. Machines of the Win98 era and those who have 64mb ram rarely handle memory sizes above 128mb ram. With the way you asked the question though, I would have someone else look at it.
