I have previously using the following flow to create HD .M4V files from .MKV DTS HD files.

1. Use Moyea to convert DTS to AC3
2. Use MKV Merge to create a new .MKV
3. Handbrake to .M4V
4. Subler to tag

What I am now thinking is do I even need to do step 2??

Can't I just Handbrake the original .MKV file and just have track 1 audio as DPII from DTS and then after the Handbrake file is created can't I just see then mux the AC3 file made from Moyea with Subler so I don't have to create a new MKV file?

If this is true is there any problem with over 4GB files? I didn't see the options about 64bit chucnks in Subler people referred too.

Thanks.

Just an update in case anyone needs to know. You CAN just use subler to add AC3 tracks after converting the DTS audio. This saves significant time not having to remux another MKV.

Hope this helps someone.
