Listening to friends iPods on my Itunes

Hi guys,

I used to be able to do this but not now. I dont want to copy peoples music just listen to whats on there iPods through my itunes. I have parties all the time and people want to throw on there own tunes and cant. I remember you used to be able to but not now. Help? I tried searching but all i find is people trying to copy music over.

After you connect their iPods to your computer check "Manually manage music and videos" in the iPod summary. This should allow you to play any of the music on the iPod through iTunes. N.B., I recall there was some talk about this not working with the iPhone or iPod Touch when they came out. I don't have one handy to test.
