Any Hall & Oates Fans?

I like adult education, famliy man, melody for a memory just to name a few.. They have been around for a record 32 years, and have had 6 #1's so theirs gotta be somethin to say about them... Course' most of the band is about the Darly, and little does Oates do. He is more of an extension of the band.... I always thought that oates was the lead singer, b/c he is black. but i guess not, darly sure sounds black though when he sings, i dunno y, lol :rolleyes:

And yes, I like a lot of their songs. They registered with me during emotional events earlier in my life and have sort of stuck with me as a result. I'm not proud of the fact that I like a number of their songs, and I don't defend them as "artists", but like them I do.

is it just me, or do a lot people as if like they don't feel an "artist" isn't "artist" if they don't write their own songs?

An artist can also be one through their interpretation of another person's song. I guess I just meant that I didn't consider H&O songs to have any particular, defensible artistic merit.

Of course, the McDonald's Big N' Tasty has no defensible culinary merit. But me likey anyway.
