I have a 1G Ipod Touch from October '07 and I've just recently been having trouble with the dock connector. It's very faulty and lately I've even had to curl the wire around the ipod and lean it against a book in order to keep the connector leaning upwards (if holding the ipod facing you with the charger in place, you would need to push the connector towards yourself but away from the iPod in order for it to work).
Is this a common problem? It turns every synching into a headache, trying to get it to connect to iTunes, and even charging is extremely unpredictable. Is this caused from normal wear-and-tear or is this something I should complain to Apple about?
