Hi

I was talking to my father a few weeks ago and he told me that his friend who works for Quark has enough money available to them to run the company for 4 years without laying any member of staff off without selling one copy of Quark.

Just an interesting fact.

In other words - There is no money available for heavy/fast OS X development.

Anyone know how many people Quark employ?

A few years back when Quark were trying to buy Adobe and everyone laughed at them, Quark got the last laugh because they still have the money, which has to be a vast sum.

Considering that it takes them four years to finish a new version, I wouldn't doubt that they need it.

They may also need it if they keep their arrogance toward their own customers. Adobe finally has something really usable. I doubt that there's a flood moving to switch but a trickle could change the flow of the market.
