i know i know, you get stuck with xp or 7 but this thing costs 100$ less

when will white macbook keep up?

I'm not sure where I read the quote but I'm sure Steve Jobs said that almost all computers are identical in specs, software is what makes a difference~ :)

Could u link to the Sony machine, i cant find it with that res on Sonys site.

The entry-level MacBook is $100 cheaper than that Sony at Microcenter, if that's any comfort.

since in Europe we don't have microcenter and the entry macbook is 100euros expensier it's not comfort at all ......

and we don't even have refurbished macs......at least in some countries

might be worth double checking that you don't have a Refurb' store in portugal. The UK Refurb' store seems to come and go depending on the stock levels.

For example I checked last week or so and there were no macbooks at all but there have been in the past and will again.

do the Core i's make that much of a difference? knowing apple, the reason why jobs is waiting out for the upgrades is probably him wanting 110% press focus on the iPad. That and for the costs to come down... I'd guess late May, early June... by then iPad wifi + 3g would both be well off in the market for Apple to focus back on their laptops

Ummm,. why doesnt the OP just get the Sony, whats the big deal? Cant we all each like something else and not have to slam what someone else likes? Jeez, this sites it the pits sometimes

my friend has that computer. by using it i would never be able to tell that some of it's hardware is supposedly better than mine. my macbook runs much better (except flash :()

I Bought this computer in 2005 I just want to know if it is true that the motherboards in this type of computers are not worth repairing.

CW series? The i5 520 is aboutthe same speed as a 2.8ghz C2D (or a 3ghz, I forgot which).

i wish my macbook had a better cpu. i only have the 2.26 :/
