imovie media browser - can't select HD size?

Trying to create imovie/idvd in HD format.
Footage is HD, have already produced a 17 min movie, which i sent to the media browser & selected HD for publishing - all ok. Burned to disc via iDVD.

Now have a 46 min movie - produced in the same way, using footage from the same source. When I go to media browser it will not allow me to select the HD option.
What am i doing wrong?

Please help...

What iMovie version do you use?

Also video DVDs are in SD, so upconverting to HD and then downconverting to SD via iDVD brings only loss in visible image quality.

I'm using imovie '09 version 8.0.5

I want to burn to blueray disc.

With what software if I may know? And to a real Blu Ray disk?

What are the options you get in the media browser? Can you use other methods to export your finished video?
