27 inch iMac Superdrive problem

Everytime I try to insert a disc into the superdrive it immediately pushes the disc back out. I've tried every kind of cd, dvd, etc that I can find and it still spits it out. I have already burnt a dvd before this problem started happening and everything went smoothly so I don't know why it just decided to start happening now.

Any ideas guys???

Is the iMac level? If its slanted the disk scrapes and it spits it back out. Try that😀

I don't think its that because its on my desk which should be pretty level

Ya, just tried and thats not it

maybe your putting it in the wrong side, not sure if this would make this problem

No, I mean, is the screen tilted foward or backwalds? Not the stand, just the screen, is it tilted foward/backwald?

27" Imac Superdrive Problem

I am having the same problem. I have tried numerous DVD's, commercial, music, shows, burned ones. Nothing works. I just bought this today. All my DVD's work fine on my macbook, but not my brand new $2000.00 Imac I bought today...

I am taking it back..

The drive is bad. It happened to mine as well.

Take it in and have them look at it. More than likely they will replace it for you.
