when I open a new program the one im using minimizes??

yea, basically, i've been playing around w/ different programs to change the opacity of windows, and they had different tools etc, that I may have played with, but how can i fix thiss? basically, if im in safari, go down and click say iphoto, the safari screen will minimze, this has never h appened before, how can i fix it?

I'd repair permissions, trash the Finder prefs file, and/or restart.

Check the prefrences or settings of all the programs you tried and see if one of these programs is causing it.

I'd start by uninstalling the apps you've downloaded one by one and seeing which one the culprit is.

Most definitely something you've mistakenly done with those apps.

tried permissions, tried the program i used, no luck, does anyone hav e any other ideas of how to fix this, or what the i did to make it happen?

There is an option in Panther Cache Cleaner which enables something like "Single Application Mode" (can't check the exact name, not on my Mac at the moment....) Sounds like this is what's been activated, so PCC should be able to turn it off for you.
