hello,sir i hae mac g4 .but there is no oprating system in it.i dont know any thing about mac.plz guide me to install the os(give me link).
or plz tll me how can i install win xp on mac (remember i have a new harddisk)i will b thank full.....

Your G4 should have come with 2 gray "restore" discs with the OS on them
If you do not have them, you can contact Apple to get replacements at a small cost

This could be considered to be a situation where it would be morally acceptable in many people's eyes to download the OS via a torrent, although this would still be technically illegal. Panther(10.3) or Tiger(10.4) are your best bet with a G4, tending towards Tiger in my opinion.

Not necessarily recommending that you follow this course of action. The previous poster was quite right about getting a set of original discs.

And you can't install XP on a G4 without already having OS X installed and virtualized.

I guess another option would be Linux, no?
