I am obviously not using the correct search terms to find this info, but I want to upgrade my iMacs RAM. The system I have is a refurb 21.5 iMac with 3.06 GHz dual core processor. I want to go from the current 4Gig to 8Gig. Everytime I check the different sites for their online memory guides, I see the 3.06 Intel in the 24" but not in the 21.5. Are they the same? I just want to order the right memory the first time. Thanks in advance.

Download the System Scanner (http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/MacOS.aspx) from the Crucial website. It will tell you what RAM you need to purchase.

This is the kit I bought for my 21.5" recently: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KUL012/ref=oss_product
I found Amazon to be slightly cheaper than the Crucial store when considering the tax and shipping cost.

Nice find. I actually purchased it at that price last week. Since Amazon prices seem to change almost daily, I found that Safari webclips works very well to keep track of the changes.

RAM prices have been changing a lot lately, mainly raising of course  Few months ago, 2x2GB of DDR3 was about 70$ and now it's +110$

I just ordered 4GB of Crucial ram from amazon.com for $96.00 with free shipping. It looks like it just went up to $111.99. Strange it went up so quickly, I haven't even received my package yet.
