Erased iPod Classic with Disk Utility...

My iPod was not showing up in iTunes, and in a rather foolish act of desperation, I decided that wiping it in Disk Utility would be a good idea. Except now it won't show up as an iPod on my system at all. Can any suggestion how to rectify this mistake?

I've done that loads of times, iTunes will restore it when it sees it.

The problem you have is that iTunes is not seeing the iPod.

Can you plug it into a different mac/pc to see if it's detected?
