Hello macheads. I am need of guidance about what my next step should be.
I currently am on a MBP late 2008 and going to purchase a Mini soon(ish) as an HT-MAC. On the pro i have as an external HD/Time machine destination a Lacie usb 2.0 1tb drive. This drive currently holds all of my dvds. Currenlty i am looking for a second for the upcoming Mini to house these dvds and the many more to come as well as downloads and other info. Should I
A) dump all non time machine info on an a second external and use the Lacie as a time machine for both computers
b) purchase a smaller capacity "g-drive" and if possible switching out the drives between the two thereby placeing the 1tb with the Firewire800 capable enclosure and using the slower (usb 2.0) lacie drive as the time capsule for both (with separate partitions)
c) any other suggestions
Edit: Also any information on suggested brands models what to avoid and why ect ect would be invaluable but would like wo stick with a moderate $<150
