After cutting across the state of Florida, Frances now has it eye on the Panhandle, South Georgia, and South Alabama. Already here in Southwest Georgia, the power is out. I think ours has been out for about 7 hours now (Since 1:30 this morning) and other places in my county have been without power since about 5:00 or 6:00 yesterday afternoon. Any other people in the area not have power?

Wow. How are you posting? Laptop/dial-up?
Probably lots of MR readers affected, but I'm guessing most of them won't be posting anytime soon.

My power has been going in and out a few times in the past 12 hours or so (Tallahassee). It's on right now, but who knows when it'll go out next...

Good luck to those up that way. May the storm continue to weaken.

My roomate has family in the area. He's talked to them via cell phone a few times and they've said that they have inconsistent electricity - kinda comes and goes.
I hope everything doesn't turn out too bad for people in florida. The news is saying that there's another hurricane coming that could make land by next weekend :(
