Easy way to keep diary / Journal

I am looking for a way to keep an easy free flow diary / journal on my mac. I want to add pictures etc.... If I do it in word and add pictures, the document becomes incredible large (because my pics are). I don't want to spend time wading through iphoto to make my pics smaller to insert them in a word doc. Maybe there is an easy software solution? Any help appreciated...

I've never tried it but have heard good things about MacJournal (http://homepage.mac.com/dschimpf/). It's free so give it a go and see it fills your needs.

I second MacJournal. I've used it for a couple of years and it keeps getting better. You can't resize pictures yet, but according to the Development Blog (http://danschimpf.blogspot.com/), he's working on it. For keeping track of written material, though, it is immensely useful.
