MB DVD drive question

Is it normal that I have to push the dvd nearly all the way in (like a 1/2 a centimenter left of the disc before it grabs?)

It spits it out just fine but seems to not want to grab as early as I would expect.

This normal?

yeah you have to push it almost all the way in. does your drive also make a loud noise when it grabs the disk and loads?

yeah iv noticed all the drives in macbooks are loud. louder than any other drive iv dealt with but oh well. as long as it works and doesnt fail idc..
