That looks like a 1980's video game controler. Give me a break.

Duff-Man says...I am always amazed, but not too surprised, when these PC knock-offs rip off Apple...it is like they look at Apple's nice industrial designs and say "okay...we need to copy this, only make it really ugly"....oh yeah!

i smell a lawsuit for deceptive practices. i think any judge would classify this as attempting to confuse the consumer, which is a violation of trademark.

So, these are what, 4 gig? no mention of individual price, just bulk. i doubt they've found any distributers yet, this seems more like a party favor than a serious piece of equipment.

Horrible design, horrible name... but at the same time it makes me ask myself why Apple can't make some cooler games for the iPod like Tetris, Snake, Othello, and Sokoban. Those are all cool games!

Podi, huh? That sounds a lot like Potty, and that's where little kids tinkle. I don't want one of those thank you.

Woah... if you clicked on the the HDD mp3 players, you will be amazed by how almost all the mp3 players look so similar to one another.

The looks are decent enough, but I wouldn't buy one simply due to principal alone. I mean, Podi? Gimme a break.

I like the way the list of 'Competitive Advantages' includes such diverse elements as Brand-name Parts and Product Performance...

What are they competing with? a house brick?

I'm getting this player for one reason alone. It supports all those 8kbps WMAs I've got laying around!

Wait, hang on, did anyone catch what it says towards the bottom?

Minimum Order:
500 to 999 Pieces

*gasp* NOOO!!!!!

what on earth is that?! There's no hard drive capacity or model name (Podi?). And the interface concept is straight off the iPod. SUE :D

almost looks like it must have a milspec :p

Seems like vapourware to me, looks like a rendering not a photo, or at least just a prototype, and they probably want a minimum 500 unit order before they actually start making it! And its only 4 gig.

PODI - Apple legal will eat their souls - BWAHHHAHAH! :D

Looking at the name the first thing that comes to mind is a 3 year old grabbing their crotch and screaming. "I need to Podi"

About the 500-999 minimum order.... It makes perfect sense.

The only way they are ever going to sell 500 of these things is if someone stupid retailer buys them all at once.

This is hilarious, look at this:

Main Export Markets:

North America
Mid East/Africa
Central/South America
Western Europe
Australasia

Why not just say "everywhere except antartica" ?

Where is Australasia? I don't think I've ever heard of them...

Also, if you look at the enlarged image you see a new feature.

Means Australia + Asia. Like Eurasia is Europe + Asia.

If they are going to rip-off the name by reversing the 'i' in iPod, they should have just reversed the whole iPod name:

Dopi

How embarrassing. I've since corrected my inital thread title from "Worse" to "Worst," but I cannot change the way it shows in the discussion forum. My bad.

Poorly designed and poorly named. Quite sad really, is there anyone out there who can come up with an original idea...anybody at all

No, it means Australia + NZ + Pacific Islands (and probably a few other places too). You seem to be thinking of Asia Pacific.

It has only one thing going for it over the iPod... it has Tetris on it :D

Games: 4 build-in games (Tetris, Snake, Othello, Sokoban)

Wouldn't trade my iPod for anything, though....

I'm amazed that you called it a PC nock off. Or for that matter even refering to an MP3 player as a PC nock off. Maybe it's just an "iPod" Rip off not a PC.
