80Gb iPod classic, first gen.
Suddenly, Mac OS X says it's toast, to "Backup and Restore" in iTunes.
So... Showing hidden files in the Finder lets me get to the music, but the iPod isn't aware it's there. I can open these in iTunes, eliminating the need for redoing the music, but the rest of the iPod is video.
Lotsa video, all of it little crap I've done and exported with Quicktime.
7, thank you very much.

So. My problem is that I can't find where the iPod fits it's videos. Anyone have an idea where I can find them, or a way to get them off?

Notice: Senuti has the same problem iTunes does, can't see a thing, and iRip crashes upon trying to read the iPod.
In "DamagedFiles" there's an iTunesDB item, probably the cause, but I'm concerned about the 12+Gb of video. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
