Downloading while sleeping

Hello, i have a 17" PB and I am downloading some big files 1GB file and a 1.4 GB. I would leave it on for the night and i wanted to know of there is something i should do, like should i keep the power cable hooked on? should i close the lid or what.

This may sound stupid but you must understand i never downloaded huge files on a laptop before.

Just leave it open and plugged in.

It's fine if the screen sleeps, but closing it will stop your download dead in it's tracks.

If you do want to close it still, maybe look into SleepLess (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17893).

I too download larger files, when I DL overnight I just leave it open, and turn the brightness on the monitor too zero.
