I just got a brand new macbook. I was wondering what type of adapter i need to play my guitar into garage band. quarter inch to usb or quarter inch to firewire?

seeing as macbooks dont come with firewire, the answer should be pretty obvious ;)

The new MacBook doesn't have FireWire.

You could go 1/4in to the Audio In/Out port. Adapter's a lot cheaper.
