If only you asked me about a week earlier. I just sold my 2x4GB Samsung DDR3 modules on Craigslist for $300 together.

Check eBay out....many sellers have it for like $179/SODIMM and you can get 8% Bing.com Cashback...

i dont want to buy ram for EBAY ... is there a good ram you guys recommend 8GB X 2 = 16 GB in total ... which i can buy from newegg.com or some one website ...

iMac does not support 8GB modules. If you want 16GB, you must get 4x4GB

plus you'd be crazy to pay the price for two 8gb sticks! :)

so that means 2X4GB is still 8Gb on each ram module correct? cause i think imac 27 has only two memory slots if i am not mistaken

It has four, so the maximum is 4x4GB, total of 16GB
