I have a cable modem from Motorola for my internet connection.
I'm planning to buy Airport Express so I can have a wireless connection for my MBP and iPod Touch.

Is it OK to connect Airport Express to my motorola modem ?

That's what they're designed for. I, too, have a Motorola Cable Modem from my Internet Service Provider. Just connect the Express to the modem with an Ethernet cable and use AirPort Utility to set up the SSID and security.

Exactly.

Why would you think it wouldn't work that way?😕

because I use DLink router and it doesn't work at all. 🙁
Another question, what information I should get from my ISP before I start to install the airport express ?

I don't think you'll need any info.

Just plug it in, attach the ethernet cable, and follow the Airport Utility instructions.....

I read the tech specification of Airport Express and it was said like this :

Channels

* Channels 1-11, 36-48, and 149-165 approved for use in the United States and Canada
* Channels 1-13 and 36-64 approved for use in Japan
* Channels 1-13 and 36-140 approved for use in Europe
* Channels 1-13, 36-64, and 149-165 approved for use in Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand

What is Channels ? I live in Shenzhen, China. Is it applicable here ?
